Tell Congress To Protect Funding for NPR and PBS

Donald Trump has issued an executive order directing the federal government to stop funding NPR and PBS, even though only Congress has the constitutional authority to create the federal budget.

This is a targeted attack on nonpartisan news and educational programming, and it’s being cheered on by billionaire Elon Musk. Musk mocked NPR’s public funding while raking in over $15 billion in federal subsidies and contracts for SpaceX, Starlink, and more.

NPR and PBS don’t serve shareholders, they serve the public.

Silencing them means silencing communities. Congress must act to defend public media, and its own power of the purse.
