Lawmakers have until March 1st before we will see massive school lay-offs and closures across the state. This is because an arbitrary spending cap still exists from the 1980's which limits how much can be spent on certain areas, including education. Our legislature needs to cut the crap and lift the cap!
A bill that would lift the cap has passed the Arizona House. Crucially, this is a "clean" bill, meaning that it doesn't contain any unrelated provisions (like voucher expansions). We need the AZ State Senate to follow the House's lead and lift the cap!
Playing political games with innocent students is going too far. Tell your lawmaker and Governor Ducey: lift the funding cap!
Dear Gov. Ducey and Sen. Hoffman
